About Alex

“I moved to Kailua Kona, Hawaii at the age of five, and attended high school at a private high school strong in the performing arts. I graduated from the LA Film School of Hollywood, California in 2007.

I’ve been making films since I was 12. Starting with random humorous shorts and occasional school projects, I soon expanded to longer fun videos, commercial projects and contests. My work has been shown on local and national television. In 2004 I directed and stared in a PSA which was transferred to film and shown in local theaters. I’ve worked on large-scale concerts as a cameraman and syndicated programs as a production assistant. I have filmed weddings, community plays and a promotional piece for Deep Sea Water International. Of my video contest entrys, I have been fortunate enough to win First Place in a few, including the Grand Prize in a contest sponsored by iLasic of the Lasic Surgery industry.

My primary focus today is creating videos for and expanding my YouTube channels: DamItsGood808 and AlexFarnhamTV. To date I have created over 300 videos that have garnered over 32 million views. I also produce marketing videos for private clients and have completed several in the last couple years. And I have also been fortunate enough to appear in two feature films, not yet released, and was recently a contestant in a internet based reality show.

My creative influences are the people and events that surround me. I find that a well made film stimulates my creativity, so when I watch a movie I consider it on many different levels. I study every scene trying to understand the meaning and appreciate how the writing, acting and cinematography support that meaning. I often imagine life around me as a movie where I’m the director. Being the writer, actor, producer and director of my own life is my high.

I have a deep passion for filmmaking and I try to do my best with every project I undertake. My goal is to one day make a film that changes peoples’ lives in a positive and profound way.”
